Published on May 10, 2021, a court case has been filed against Collins Toroitich, the grandson of the late Daniel Arap Moi, for neglecting his two children.
Toroitich's ex-partner, Gladys Jeruto Tagi, is accusing him of failing to provide for their nine and 11-year-old children, and is seeking Ksh 1 million per month as upkeep.
The funds, according to Tagi's lawyer David Mongeri, will be used for essential expenses such as food, fees, rent, education, and entertainment.
It is alleged that Toroitich has neglected his children for eight years, forcing them to struggle financially due to Tagi's unstable income.
Toroitich, the son of the late Jonathan Moi, has a history of controversy and has had several brushes with the law.
He was previously charged with stealing two phones worth Sh 20,000 in 2016, and in 2019, he allegedly abandoned his then-girlfriend at a hotel in Kitale, leaving her to foot a bill of Ksh 100,000.
