May 10, 2021 - AC Milan's thrilling 3-0 win over Juventus on Sunday has left the Italian giants in danger of missing out on a Champions League spot, with three games left in the season.

Goals from Brahim Diaz, Ante Rebic, and Fikayo Tomori secured the win for Milan, sending them up to third place with 72 points from 35 matches. Juventus, meanwhile, slipped to fifth place and are now a point behind fourth-placed Napoli.

The win marked Milan's first away league victory at Juventus since March 2011, and it has put them in a strong position to return to the Champions League, potentially at the expense of their opponents.

Used to battling it out for the Scudetto in the past, Juventus and Milan looked like two teams unsure of a top-four finish in a nervous first half. However, Brahim Diaz's stunning opener just before the break gave the visitors the halftime lead, and they never looked back.

Substitute Ante Rebic arrowed a fine strike into the net 12 minutes from time, before defender Fikayo Tomori headed a third goal to seal a crucial win for Milan four minutes later.

Wojciech Szczesny made a crucial penalty save from Franck Kessie in the 56th minute, but it did not prove costly as Milan secured the win.

The final whistle was greeted with wild scenes of celebration from Milan staff and players, who are now in a strong position to return to the Champions League.
