On May 9, 2021, the Ministry of Lands and Planning announced a mass verification of title deeds in Nairobi's Thome area, located in Block 110.
The exercise, which follows a moratorium on land transactions in the area, aims to address mass claims of irregularities in plot allocations and titled deeds.
According to a notice issued by Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney, the verification exercise will take place from May 24 to June 2021, between 9 am and 3 pm.
Land owners are required to present proof of ownership documents, including title deeds, certified copies of grants issued by the court, transfer documents, and sale agreements, among others.
CS Karoney urged plot owners to prepare and drop copies of their proof of ownership documents at the Survey of Kenya during the specified period.
