Deputy President William Ruto's daughter, June, has officially taken the leap off the market after getting engaged to her Nigerian beau, Dr. Alexander Ezenagu. The couple traditionally married at their home in Karen, with the bride's father keeping the event small and simple.

According to Osita Chidoka, who acted as the negotiator on behalf of Alexander, the Kalenjin people of Kenya share many cultural similarities with the Igbos of Nigeria.

"The Kalenjin people of Kenya are pastoral people and have so much in common with the Igbos of Nigeria," Osita Chidoka said. "I was the negotiator at the bride price settlement ceremony. We haggled, we negotiated and in the end, we agreed on how many cows would be a fair price for the hands of June."

Details of when and how long the couple has been dating are still scarce, as June Ruto is not active on social media and neither is her fiancé.

Below are photos from the event.
