Deputy President William Ruto's Daughter Engaged to Nigerian Professor

On May 8, 2021, Deputy President William Ruto hosted a glamorous engagement ceremony for his daughter June Ruto, who is set to marry Dr. Alexander Ezenagu, a Nigerian professor.

Dr. Ezenagu, an assistant professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, has a strong background in international trade and taxes. He holds a Ph.D. in international tax law from McGill University in Canada and has published multiple papers in academic journals.

As a professor, Dr. Ezenagu teaches various courses, including Business Associations, Construction and Infrastructure Development Law, and Global Economic Law and Governance. He has also consulted for several organizations, including the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the International Bar Association Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI).

According to Nigerian politician Osita Chidoka, who was present at the engagement ceremony, the event was kept small and simple, with a focus on family. He praised Deputy President Ruto and his wife for their hospitality.
