Love can strike anywhere, including the workplace. But is it wise to fall in love with a colleague? Kiss FM presenter Chito Ndlovu recently shared his thoughts on office relationships, offering some valuable advice.
According to Chito, office relationships can be a good thing, but they require careful consideration. He emphasized that it's essential to weigh the pros and cons before making any commitments.
“Wherever you find love, go for it, even if it is in the office,” Chito said, encouraging people to follow their hearts.
However, he also warned that relationships between colleagues in the same department can be tricky. “If you guys are in the same department, there is a bit of an off thing there. It has to be very well thought out because it will get very sketchy,” he cautioned.
Chito also suggested that if a relationship becomes serious, it may be wise for one partner to consider changing jobs to avoid any potential conflicts of interest. “If it becomes very serious, it is wise for one to change the work place. I think it is not wise for a couple to work in the same office because, if something happens to the company all of you are all messed up,” he said.
Ultimately, Chito advised couples to discuss the potential challenges and dynamics of their relationship before making any commitments. “Couples have to discuss these dynamics before any commitments,” he emphasized.
