Kenya has reported a significant increase in Covid-19 cases, with 568 individuals testing positive in the last 24 hours.
According to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, the positivity rate currently stands at 6.3%, based on a sample size of 9,029 tests.
Of the new cases, 551 are Kenyans, while 17 are foreigners. The youngest case is a one-year-old infant, while the oldest is 105 years old.

As of today, the total confirmed positive cases in the country stand at 162,666, with a cumulative total of 1,710,414 tests conducted.
173 patients have recovered, with 130 recovering at home and 43 in various health facilities. Total recoveries now stand at 110,653.
Unfortunately, 15 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 2,865.
The Ministry of Health has warned Kenyans to be vigilant and follow guidelines to prevent a surge in positivity rates.
