May 5th, 2021, marked a turning point in the life of YouTuber Peter Kabi, alias Kabi Wajesus, as a government hospital released the results of a paternity test that confirmed he was the father of his 7-year-old daughter Abby.
Contrary to his earlier denials, Kabi Wajesus was left with no choice but to admit fathering Abby, sparking outrage among his fans and fellow celebrities.
Content creator Shornarwa was among those who expressed disgust at Kabi Wajesus' actions, terming them 'disgusting and pathetic.'
She warned that it would be traumatic for Abby to discover in the future that her father had publicly denied her paternity.
Shornarwa urged Kabi Wajesus to take responsibility for his actions, rather than blaming the devil, and to accept that his behavior was a result of his 'irresponsibility and incest.'
Former BBC journalist Makena Njeri praised Kabi Wajesus' cousin Ruth for leaking the story and helping Abby get justice.
Independent presenter Carolina Carlz also weighed in, suggesting that Kabi Wajesus could have saved his reputation by accepting responsibility immediately he was called out.
She urged Kabi Wajesus to do a genuine apology, one that Abby would see in the future and feel accepted and loved.
