On Thursday, May 6, 2021, a tragic accident occurred along the Nairobi Southern Bypass Highway, claiming the life of Allan Ngugi, a 37-year-old program manager.

Ngugi's BMW X5 vehicle crashed into a truck on the fast lane, with the police suspecting that the driver was speeding at the time of the accident.

According to Lang'ata OCPD Benjamin Mwanthi, the driver was likely speeding when he crashed into the rear part of the loaded lorry, which was moving slowly on the fast lane.

Ngugi, who worked as a program manager at Trade Mark East Africa, was reportedly rushing to beat the 10pm curfew when the accident occurred between 9:20pm and 9:35pm.

Despite his previous claims of surviving two road accidents, Ngugi died instantly in the crash, with a mortuary attendant stating that the postmortem indicated that all his ribs were broken, and so were his limbs, resulting in excessive bleeding.
