Published on May 6, 2021, Justice William Ouko is set to make a fresh milestone in his illustrious career as he joins the Supreme Court bench. He was nominated to the position by the Judicial Service Commission.
As the new Supreme Court judge, Justice William Ouko will earn a basic salary of Sh. 757,770, which will be boosted by allowances and benefits to raise his total monthly pay to Sh. 1,082,528. This means his allowances at the new position will be equivalent to Sh. 324,758.
Before his nomination as Supreme Court judge, Justice William Ouko worked at the Court of Appeal, where he was the President of the Court of Appeal.
As a Supreme Court judge, Justice William Ouko will be entitled to benefits, including official transport, a medical scheme, pension, life insurance, and personal accident cover, among others.
He will join the Supreme Court bench alongside Justice Martha Koome, who will become the new Chief Justice, earning a salary of between Sh. 900,000 and Sh. 1,327,888.
