The Kalasha International TV & Film Market, a 3-day trade fair, has started today, May 5th, and will run until May 7th, showcasing companies from East Africa and internationally.

Organized by the Kenya Film Commission and sponsored by Safaricom, the event is live-streaming on Kalasha International's YouTube channel.

Attendees can expect high-level interaction for trading, sharing ideas, and side events including conferences, workshops, coaching, and pitching sessions.

Among the highlights of the event is a pitching competition for TV, movies, documentaries, short and long films, which will be open to all practicing and upcoming filmmakers registered for the market.

Additionally, film stars such as Sarah Hassan will be holding a workshop about the challenges of production and international opportunities and challenges.
