On May 1, 2021, a 23-year-old woman from Kiambu County allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death in Nakuru County, sparking a manhunt that ended with her arrest five days later.
According to police, the woman, whose name has not been released, was tracked down by detectives in Kiambu who worked with their counterparts in Nakuru to locate her.
Police officers arrested the woman in Nakuru, where she had fled after the incident, and she was taken into custody.
A post-mortem report revealed that the victim, Kevin Kamami, was stabbed four times and died from excessive bleeding.
Kevin Kamami's family is still trying to understand what led to the tragic event, as they claim the couple had no history of fighting.
The woman, who worked at a hotel in Kikuyu town, was described as calm by her colleagues, who are shocked by the turn of events.
