On April 1, 2020, the European Union launched the New Export Trade programme (NExT) in Kenya, investing Sh650 million in the country's horticultural sector.
The programme, which will run for four years, aims to boost Kenya's contribution of the horticultural sector to household income through employment opportunities and foreign currencies.
