As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect businesses globally, three listed firms in Kenya have announced delays in publishing their audited financial results for the period ended 31st December 2020.
According to a notice issued by Crown Paints Kenya Plc, the audited financial statements for the year ended 31st December 2020 will not be ready for publication by 30th April 2021, as required by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA). The delay is attributed to COVID-19 pandemic control measures in Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda.
The paint manufacturer has been granted an extension to file its audited accounts on or before 15th June 2021.
East African Cables has also been granted an extension to file its 2020 end-year results by 30th June 2021, citing the failure to report on its Tanzanian subsidiary and disruption of reporting timelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
