On May 4, 2021, the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) for Kuresoi South was forced to remove a UDA wheelbarrow that had been hoisted at the police station.

Images of the wheelbarrow, which had been erected at a conspicuous spot, made rounds on social media, raising questions about the impartiality of the officers at the station.

Soy MP Caleb Kositany shared an image of the wheelbarrow after it was pulled down, stating that the sign would be put back up.

The wheelbarrow, which has been a symbol of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party, was officially incorporated as a symbol in a gazette notice dated December 28, 2020.

UDA Party Secretary-General Veronica Maina had earlier condemned an incident in which the party's offices in Trans Nzoia county were vandalised on May 1, 2021.
