As of May 4, 2021, only 60,000 out of 350,000 Huduma cards had been collected in the country.
Chief Philip Otieno of Kondele Location has engaged village elders and volunteers to assist in tracking down those who have not picked their cards.
His office has a total of 400 cards that are yet to be collected, and he is urging the general public to visit various chiefs and assistant chief officers to check and pick their Huduma cards.
According to Chief Otieno, the Covid-19 pandemic led to a delay in card collection as people were not allowed to gather.
He is appealing to the public to come to his office and pick their cards, and hopes to have distributed all cards by Friday.
