Shaffie Weru, a well-known radio presenter, has shared a shocking revelation about his experience after being fired from Homeboyz radio in March 2021.
Weru and his two co-hosts were let go after the station deemed their comments on a morning show to be a serious breach of their editorial policies.
"Actually, majority of the people who I expected to stand by me or have my back walked away and I’m not even judging," Weru stated in an interview.
Weru, who was a popular host of 'The Reverend' show, expressed his disappointment at the way his friends turned their backs on him during his time of need.
He added that it was only when he faced serious trouble that people were able to distinguish between true friends and those who were just pretending to be supportive.
Weru has since moved on and landed a managerial job at Roya Group of companies, where he serves as the Head of Entertainment.
"This is my new hustle and here we do many things... it does a lot of investments that does a lot of investments and realtor business..." Weru explained in a video interview.
Weru's comments come after he and his co-hosts were accused of shaming a sexual violence survivor in March 2021, which led to a public outcry and ultimately resulted in their termination.
