On Tuesday, Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) announced the reopening of all its facilities to visitors across parks, reserves, and sanctuaries, following the Presidential Address on May 1st, 2021, which lifted the partial lockdown in five counties and adjusted the curfew time.
According to a notice announcing the reopening, KWS remains committed to strict adherence to Covid-19 prevention protocols as outlined in the Ministry of Health guidelines, to safeguard the health and safety of staff and clientele.
Visitors are now welcome to explore KWS's parks, reserves, and sanctuaries for a memorable experience, with the service thanking the public for their continued support.
As part of the reopening, KWS has readjusted the closing time for all facilities to 6:00 p.m. and emphasized the importance of wearing face masks, maintaining physical distance, and washing hands or using hand sanitizer while in their facilities.
It's worth noting that KWS had previously announced the closure of all picnic sites and other sites in parks, reserves, and sanctuaries where visitors tend to congregate in the five disease-infected areas, including Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado, Kiambu, and Nakuru counties.
