Living in the Nairobi Metropolitan Area can be challenging, expensive, and prone to scams, making it difficult for people to buy land and build homes or businesses within the city.

However, the Eastern Bypass has become a popular alternative, offering easy access to the city center and neighboring counties. Satellite towns along the bypass, such as Ruiru and Ruai, have provided homes to hundreds of thousands of people working in the city.

According to Fanaka Real Estate, a real estate company, land prices in Ruiru start from as low as Sh. 2 million, making it an attractive option for homebuyers. The Thika Super Highway is also in close proximity, making it easy to commute to other parts of the city.

Other areas along the Eastern Bypass, such as Malaa, Joska, and Kamulu, also offer affordable land options, with prices starting from Sh. 1.2 million. These areas provide a great opportunity for people to build residential homes away from the busy life of the city.

Despite being located outside the city center, these areas offer a range of social amenities, including schools, hospitals, churches, and social joints. The roads leading to these areas are also well-developed, reducing the risk of getting stuck in traffic.
