Kenyan actress Kate Actress, real name Catherine Kamau, was set to make her music debut today, but the event was cancelled at the last minute.
The reason behind the cancellation was a scandal involving her collaborator, gospel artist Mr Seed, who is accused of impregnating a woman named Sabrina.
Sabrina shared screenshots of her conversation with Mr Seed on Edgar Obare's Instagram page, claiming that he had gotten her pregnant.
Mr Seed has refused to comment on the allegations, leaving Kate Actress in a difficult position.
Despite the setback, Kate Actress took to social media to express her disappointment and deny any involvement in clout chasing.
"I would never ride on anyone's misery, and I honestly need no clout to excel in my work," she said.
"I have always been extremely vocal on issues affecting women, including ending teenage pregnancies, sexual gender-based violence, and sexual reproductive health rights," she added.
She also clarified that she was not aware of the scandal involving Mr Seed and had posted the music video on time, as agreed.
"I obviously was not aware of the issue at hand. I really hope the issue is resolved by both parties," she said.
Reactions from Kate Actress's fans have been mixed, with some defending her and others expressing their disappointment.
