Kenyan music power couple Nameless and Wahu are celebrating twenty years in the industry with a new reality show, 'This is Love', which premiered in April 2021.
Produced by Documentary and Reality TV, the show will follow the couple as they work on their first joint album, a project they announced at the beginning of April 2021.
According to Eugene Mbugua, the show's executive producer, he approached Nameless and Wahu with the idea of the show back in 2018, citing their rich history in music and as a couple.
With music careers spanning two decades, Nameless and Wahu have both released numerous hits and won several awards, including MTV Africa Music Awards for Best Female (2008) for Wahu and Best Male and Listener's Choice (2009) for Nameless.
‘This Love is loaded with great content both on the reality and the documentary side. It’s solid and vibrant enough and we believe it will captivate the audience without having to court controversy,’ Mbugua said.
‘Both of them have had perhaps the longest staying power of any musician in the country. You cannot tell the story of Kenyan music without telling the story of Nameless and Wahu,’ Mbugua added.
