Kenya is set to welcome Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan for a two-day state visit, which will begin on Tuesday, May 3, 2021, after an invitation by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The visit comes after a period of strained relations between the two countries during the late President John Pombe Magufuli's era.
According to State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena Mararo, President Suluhu will arrive in the country on Tuesday, May 4, for a two-day State Visit to the Republic of Kenya.
During her visit, President Suluhu will address Kenya's bicameral parliament in a historic address, making her the first female president to do so.
She will also address business leaders from both Kenya and Tanzania to discuss business and investment opportunities in both countries.
President Suluhu's visit will be her second state visit since ascending to power in March.
