On May 3, 2021, Dubai's top model, Miss Odina Umirzakova, paid a visit to the Ready Aiders organization in Mathare Therapy Centre, a Non-Governmental organization (NGO) that deals with helping children born with Autism.

Founded by Mr Kenneth Apopo, Ready Aiders offers counseling services to parents with affected children, making them feel that they belong to a society that cares for them.

During her visit, Miss Umirzakova expressed her support to the children and their parents, saying, “These parents have a responsibility to take care of these children, and it is necessary that people of goodwill come to their aid.”

Accompanied by Wady El Nile, Kenya's Country Manager, and Mr Ahmed Eldakamawey, the model fostered a partnership with Ready Aiders, promising to continue supporting the Non-profit organization through relief.

She noted that in addition to medical treatment, it was essential for the children to feed well to remain healthy.

Ready Aiders had previously hosted an event at Kasarani to raise funds for children born with Autism, where talented models born with Autism showcased their modeling talents.

According to the 2019 census, the Mathare slum had a population of 206,564 people, while Kiambu had a population of 2.4 million.

As parents struggle to cushion their families against the pangs of hunger amid the COVID-19 pandemic, scores from informal settlements, especially in Nairobi, rely on well-wishers for support.

Miss Umirzakova's visit was welcomed by the parents and children, who had patiently been waiting for the guest, despite the temporary delay caused by the current corona pandemic.

As a result, local and international non-governmental organizations, along with the Kenya Government, have come to the aid of the poor and vulnerable, providing financial support or constructing infrastructure in their institutions.

Miss Umirzakova climaxed her visit by taking pictures with Members of the Ready Aiders and the models who participated in the Light Mr and Mrs Autism 2021 event, which took place a fortnight ago.
