On May 3, 2021, Samburu North MP Alois Lentoimaga laid the foundation stone for a Sh3.3 million secondary school in Nachola village, marking a significant milestone in the constituency's development.

For years, children from Nachola village have had to trek over 20km daily through treacherous terrain and wildlife-infested land to access secondary education. However, with the launch of the Nachola Secondary School, this ordeal is set to come to an end.

The school, which is being constructed through the Samburu North Constituency Development Fund, will provide a convenient and safe learning environment for over 600 children from Nachola village.

"We have never had a secondary school in our village since independence, but now we have," said Jopo Lokolonyei, a parent from Nachola village. "I will not spend more money on educating my children in schools that are far away. All my children will join Nachola Secondary School."

The school's construction is being sponsored by the Samburu North Constituency Development Fund, which will cover the cost of three classrooms in the first phase. The school is expected to be ready for the first batch of students by May, with Form One students set to report in July or August.
