On August 26, 2020, Inter Milan put an end to speculation about the future of their coach, Antonio Conte, by confirming that he will stay on for the next season.

Conte's tenure at Inter Milan has been marked by controversy, including occasional angry outbursts that led to clashes with the club's senior executives.

Despite this, the club has decided to continue working with Conte, citing a desire for continuity and strategy.

Inter Milan's decision to retain Conte comes after a disappointing Europa League final defeat to Sevilla, where they lost 3-2.

Conte, a 51-year-old ex-Italy coach, joined Inter Milan after a successful stint at Juventus, where he won three Serie A titles, and Chelsea, where he won the Premier League.

"The Club and Antonio Conte had a constructive meeting today focused on continuity and strategy, in which the two parties laid the foundations to continue working together on the Club's project," Inter Milan said in a statement.
