August 8 marked International Female Orgasm Day, a day dedicated to shedding light on the orgasm gap – a significant issue affecting women in heterosexual relationships.

According to a 2016 study from the Archives of Sexual Behavior, men typically orgasm 95% of the time, while the number drops to under 65% for women.

On this day, Pornhub, in collaboration with creative agency Bar Ogilvy, took a bold step to raise awareness about the orgasm gap. They interrupted the most-viewed videos by straight men at the 40% timestamp, highlighting the fact that approximately 40 percent of cishet women don't orgasm during sex with their partners.

“Researchers demystified the female orgasm decades ago by highlighting the importance of clitoral stimulation and foreplay for women to reach The Big O. Yet, in straight relationships, women are still getting the short end of the stick in nearly half of all of their sexual encounters.” – Corey Price, VP of Pornhub, explained in a press release.

As part of the campaign, Pornhub also shared a video providing more information on the Orgasm Gap and launched the endtheorgasmgap.com landing page, where women could “reward” men who made them orgasm with an official certificate.
