From Alcoholic to Devoted Husband ¶
Before meeting Milly WaJesus, Kabi WaJesus was a known alcoholic and drug addict who was not into Jesus. However, his life took a dramatic turn when he met his future wife in 2013, while she was still in high school.
Milly WaJesus, born Millicent Wambui Ng'ang'a, was living with her parents in Dandora before the completion of their house. Kabi, who had already completed his high school and was into filming, was called upon to capture the moments, and that's how the two first met.
The Clash ¶
During a live interview with Jalang'o, Kabi WaJesus became uncomfortable when asked about his relationship with his wife. Jalang'o posed the question, 'You were in Form Two, and he had finished high school, so was he sending you letters or what?' Milly WaJesus revealed that her boyfriend at the time had recommended Kabi as a good photographer during her parents' housewarming party.
Kabi WaJesus interrupted, saying, 'Destiny helped us!' The interview continued, but it became uncomfortable for Kabi to listen to his wife talk about her ex-boyfriend instead of him.
