Comedian Kevin Hart has made headlines after revealing he was diagnosed with Covid-19 earlier this year. The 41-year-old actor was appearing at a comedy show in Yellow Springs, Ohio for Dave Chappelle's An Intimate Socially Distanced Affair when he made the revelation.

According to Page Six, Kevin Hart said: "The problem is that I had it around the same time as Tom Hanks, and I couldn't say anything because he’s more famous than I am." Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson tested positive for the coronavirus while in Australia on March 11.

Kevin Hart's diagnosis comes less than a year after he was hospitalized for 10 days following a car crash in California on September 1, 2019. He has since spoken about the experience, saying he downplayed the severity of his injuries at the time.

Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Kevin Hart said: "I lied in the hospital because I didn't want them to know that I was having pain, because I thought that they were gonna stop me from letting me continue to try my walks." He ultimately had to have three areas of his spine fused together in emergency surgery followed by weeks of rehabilitative treatment.
