Published on August 25, 2020, a report has surfaced of a minister in the Information and Communications (IC) sector facing distress due to the exceptional qualifications and experience of a CEO in a parastatal.

The CEO, Dr., has received accolades from the United Nations and international bodies for her passion and expertise in cybersecurity. She has also been consulted by the presidency on ICT solutions and country responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The minister, who has been experiencing marital troubles, is said to be under pressure to remove Dr. from her position. The board has considered extending Dr.'s contract by three years, but the minister is keen to end it as soon as possible.

According to sources, the minister has resorted to seeking the support of Matiang'i, despite the fact that the matter does not fall under the ICT ministry's jurisdiction. The minister believes that the 'deep state' will intervene on his behalf during the impending cabinet reshuffle.

Dr. and the Chairman of the parastatal, a renowned advocate, have resisted corrupt deals worth over Sh1.5 billion. The parastatal is responsible for the digital learning program and the laying of fiber optic cables in Northern counties.

The minister's actions have been met with criticism, with many condemning his behavior towards Dr. and the Chairman. The president has been urged to take action against those sabotaging his agenda from within.

Concerned citizens have taken to social media to express their outrage, with many calling for the minister's resignation.
