Usain Bolt, the Jamaican sprinter and 11-time world champion, has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus after attending a birthday party in Jamaica.
According to reports, Bolt celebrated his 34th birthday last Friday with a secluded celebration attended by friends and family, including Leon Bailey, Raheem Sterling, Chris Gayle, and others.
On Monday, Nationwide90fm, a radio station in Jamaica, reported that Bolt had tested positive for the virus after the party.
As of now, Jamaica has confirmed a total of 1,413 Covid-19 cases and 16 deaths.
Bolt recently became a father after his long-term partner Kasi Bennett gave birth to their first child, Olympia Lightning, three months ago.
He posted a picture holding his daughter on social media on Saturday, captioning the post "Best Birthday Ever."
Usain Bolt is an 11-time world champion and the only man in history to win golds at three successive Olympics, doing so in 2008, 2012, and 2016.
He retired after the 2017 World Championships in London after suffering a hamstring injury in what was the final race of his career.
