On Monday, a devastating road accident occurred at Kaburengu in Webuye sub-county, claiming the lives of seven people and leaving 14 others injured.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the ill-fated lorry lost control before hitting traders selling tomatoes, vegetables, and green maize at the shopping centre.
The accident took place at around 3 pm at the Webuye-Kaburengu Road interchange.
The injured have been rushed to Webuye sub-county hospital for treatment.
