On Saturday, DCI detectives arrested businessman Chris Obure and his bodyguard Robert Bodo in connection to the shooting and killing of 28-year-old businessman Kevin Omwenga.
According to a police report, the incident occurred on Friday evening at Sentieu Plaza, where Omwenga was shot in the chest.
Robert Bodo, the bodyguard, has given a detailed explanation of the events leading up to the shooting, alleging that it was an accident.
However, detectives believe that the trajectory of the bullet suggests otherwise, ruling out the possibility of an accident.
It is alleged that Bodo took the firearm from Chris Obure's office and handed it to Omwenga earlier in the evening, claiming that Omwenga wanted to show it off to his female companion.
When Bodo attempted to retrieve the gun later that night, it allegedly went off, discharging a round that pierced Omwenga's heart and hit the wall before ricocheting to his bed.
