Shaffie Weru, programmes controller at Homeboyz, has expressed his condolences following the death of footballer Kevin Oliech on August 16, 2020.

Weru visited the Oliech family at their residence in Nairobi over the weekend and signed the condolence book.

Sharing a photo of the visit, Weru paid tribute to Kevin, saying,

"Rest in power My Brother! Until we meet again #KevinOliechOpiyo"

Kevin's brother, Dennis Oliech, also shared his thoughts on the late footballer, describing him as a warrior who fought until the end. He said,

"FOR THE PAST WEEK, WE HAD DEEP CONVERSATIONS ABOUT LIFE AND DESPITE YOUR PAIN YOU STILL TRIED TO BE POSITIVE. YOU TOLD ME THAT IF ONE DAY I AM TO TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT YOU I SHOULD TELL THEM HOW YOU WERE FULL OF LIFE AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WILL DO BRO. KEVIN, YOU ARE A WARRIOR AND YOU FOUGHT UNTIL THE END. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, BROTHER. REST IN PEACE BRO."

Rest in peace, Kevin Oliech.
