On August 21, 2020, a tragic incident occurred at Galana Suites, where 28-year-old Kevin Omwenga, a car dealer, was shot in his apartment.
Chris Obure, a businessman, and his bodyguard Robert Ouko have been charged with the crime and will appear before Kibera senior principal Magistrate Derrick Kuto.
According to reports, Ouko admitted to shooting Omwenga, stating that it was an accidental act. The shooting occurred in the presence of Omwenga's brother and friends, who were in the house at the time.
