On Monday morning, the Kibera Law Courts witnessed the appearance of two key suspects in the Galana Suites killing: Robert Bodo Ouko and Chris Obure.
According to reports, the police brought the suspects before the court, seeking additional time to detain them for further interrogation and completion of investigations.
Mr. Ouko, the chief suspect in the killing of 28-year-old Kelvin Omwenga, had earlier told detectives that the bullet that killed the man was fired during a struggle over the gun.
At the time of the shooting, the weapon had 14 rounds of ammunition, police said.
Investigations are also underway into a potential gold scam link to the fatal shooting of Mr. Omwenga at Galana Suites, Galana Road on Friday night.
