On August 24, 2020, shocking news about the late businessman Kevin Omwenga continued to emerge. His ex-girlfriend, Babz Juma, exclusively shared her side of the story with Mpasho.co.ke.
According to Juma, Omwenga was a 'party freak' who drank excessively and often prioritized his friends' opinions over hers.
'He drank too much and always listened to his friends. Whenever I told him something he couldn’t listen To me but WOULD listen to what his friends said.'
Juma also revealed that Omwenga had asked her for financial assistance on multiple occasions, citing his mother's illness as the reason. She claimed to have sent him money three times, totaling around Sh100,000, in January 2017.
The Germany-based lady dated Omwenga for almost two years before they parted ways. In 2018, he was reportedly begging her to get back together, but she had already made up her mind to end the relationship due to his excessive drinking and cheating.
Chris Obure's bodyguard, Robert Bodo Ouko, had previously admitted to accidentally shooting Omwenga and would be arraigned in court on the same day.
