Published on August 24, 2020, Kellyanne Conway, a long-serving aide to President Donald Trump, has announced her departure from the White House. In a statement on Twitter, her husband George T. Conway III revealed that she would be stepping back from her role as an advisor to the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump group.

The Conways have known Trump for nearly 15 years, meeting him in New York when he was a real estate developer. In 2011, Trump consulted with Conway about a possible presidential campaign, and she later served as his final campaign manager in the 2016 election.

Conway has been a vocal defender of Trump, earning both admiration and criticism from his supporters and detractors. She has also advised Vice President Mike Pence and played a key role in shaping the White House's communications strategy.

Despite her husband's criticism of Trump, who has accused him of having a narcissistic personality disorder, the president and his family have defended Conway. Her departure marks the end of an era for the Trump administration, which has seen numerous high-profile departures in recent years.
