Pasta mistake we've all been making as experts say it would 'offend' Italian chefs ¶
Published on August 23, 2020, a study of 2,000 Brits revealed more than 60 per cent of us are unaware of the correct ways to prepare and eat pasta, according to Napolina.
It's no secret that Italian food is a staple in many of our diets, but it seems we're not doing it justice. Napolina, a leading pasta and sauce maker, has revealed that many of us are making common mistakes when it comes to cooking and eating pasta.
One of the biggest offenders is adding cheese to a pasta dish, which would be seen as a great offence to the chef who prepared it for you in Italy. In fact, Napolina has provided a list of the 10 most common mistakes we're making, and it's a long list.
Here are the top 10 mistakes we're making with Italian food:
- Having garlic bread as a side to pasta
- Eating bread before the meal
- Eating stuffed crust pizzas
- Covering pasta dishes in cheese
- Making pizza with more than three toppings
- Never eating pasta 'al dente'
- Not using passata to make pasta sauce
- Cutting spaghetti to make it shorter before eating
- Adding cream to carbonara
- Putting oil in pasta water
