On August 22, 2020, a tragic event shook the Kilimani neighborhood in Nairobi when businessman Kevin Omwenga was shot dead in his apartment at Galana Suites.

As investigations into the murder continue, CCTV footage has emerged, providing a chilling account of the events leading up to Omwenga's death.

The footage shows Omwenga walking out of his apartment at 9:39 pm, only to return an hour later with an unidentified woman. At 10:35 pm, the main suspect, Robert Bodo, follows him into the apartment.

At 11:22 pm, a man is seen walking out of the apartment, seemingly concerned, and accessing the building's elevators. Bodo is later seen opening the lift for another man who was in the apartment and returns to the apartment.

He tries to leave the apartment four times, each time pressing the elevator button, but he goes back into the apartment. In one instance, he is seen pulling out a pistol from his jacket, which he conceals when he gets to the entrance of the building block.

Later, together with two other men, they are seen carrying the body of the businessman to an awaiting car. Bodo and a woman were left behind as the businessman was taken to hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
