Kenyan gospel singer Betty Bayo has made it clear that she is not interested in casual relationships. In a recent post on her Instagram account, Bayo outlined the qualities she looks for in a partner, warning suitors to be aware of who she is, her fans, and her stand on marriage, divorce, and love.

Bayo, known for her hit song Hivi Ndivyo, emphasized that she is not one to keep secrets and is not interested in dating amorous liars. She also called on divorcees to be upfront about their past unions, stating that she is not interested in dating someone who is still in love with their ex.

According to Bayo, the ideal partner should be a divorced or single father, have high self-esteem, not be a mama's boy, and be a tither in their church. They should also be able to communicate effectively in English, love her kids, and be vaccinated against cyberbullying.

Bayo's post comes after she shared a message earlier in the year about how she used to live in fear and was afraid of being gossiped about. She narrated how she stayed in abusive relationships because of fear and eventually got into depression. However, she has since overcome her fears and is now standing up for herself.

Bayo's hesitance in the past may have been informed by her break-up with an unnamed man who dumped her after making her jump through several hoops. He had told her that he would marry her if only she was light-skinned and a bit taller.
