Actress Sofia Vergara has taken to Twitter to reassure her fans that she was not a victim of Ellen DeGeneres' joke about her accent, which went viral earlier this year.
According to a clip from 2015, Ellen, 62, was seen poking fun at Sofia's ability to speak English, joking that she had a hard time pronouncing the ingredients in CoverGirl makeup.
However, Sofia, 48, has fired back, claiming that she was 'in on the joke' and the two were 'just having fun'. She shared a clip of the two making fun of each other during a commercial shoot in 2015.
Ellen has been under fire this summer after claims of a 'toxic' atmosphere and bullying on the set of her talk show were made by former staff members.
One anonymous worker compared the show's culture to the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, in which Meryl Streep played a magazine editor who terrorized her staff.
Ellen has not publicly commented on the allegations, but Sofia's tweet suggests that she and Ellen were just joking around during the commercial shoot.
