Manchester United's pursuit of Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho has been ongoing for months, with the German club valuing the 20-year-old at £108m. However, Sancho has made it clear that he's not letting the speculation get to him.
Speaking to SoccerBible, Sancho said, "I try not to look at the media because I think once you start looking at all that it would be easy to get carried away with it."
He added, "It can affect players. For me it's about not looking at those things and just focusing on trying to do the best I can on the pitch. Especially in training."
Sancho's comments come as United and Dortmund continue to negotiate a potential transfer. While the German club remains unwilling to drop their valuation of the player, Sancho is focused on improving his game during pre-season training.
When asked about his rapid rise to stardom, Sancho reflected on the impact it has had on his friends and family. "Yeah I do, of course but I'd say it hits me most when I see family and see my mum and people like that," he said. "They're so happy for me and it's nice to see my family being so proud of me."
