On a fateful Wednesday, a devastating electrical fire ravaged a home in Kisii's Nyanchwa estate, claiming the lives of a 23-year-old mother and her two young daughters.

David Onyango, a welder and the sole breadwinner, is now left to pick up the pieces and appeal for financial support to clear the substantial medical bills and burial expenses.

According to Onyango, his daughters were rushed to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, where they sadly succumbed to their injuries. His wife, Caroline Akinyi, died while undergoing treatment at Christamarianne Mission Hospital.

Onyango's heartfelt appeal to the government and well-wishers is a desperate cry for help in a moment of great need. 'I'm the firstborn in my family and also the breadwinner, I don't have anyone to lean on and the bill is huge, I request for a helping hand this dark moment am facing,' he said.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, with Kenya Power officers assessing the situation and promising to make a report. However, the Kenya Power office has yet to respond to queries on the incident.
