On Saturday, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations made a breakthrough in the murder of 28-year-old Kevin Omwenga, arresting two suspects in connection with the crime.
The suspects, businessmen Chris Obure and Robert Obodo, were taken to the Kilimani Police Station for further questioning.
According to police sources, the victim was killed in a suspected gold deal gone sour.
A mini Ceska firearm with 13 bullets, suspected to have been used in the fatal shooting, was recovered during the investigation.
Police have stated that ballistic analysis will be conducted on the firearm as they seek to unravel the motive behind the shooting.
