Evans Mwinamo, a teacher at Jirongo DEB Primary School, was found dead in his house days after he went missing. His family had initially thought he was with his lover, but the discovery of his body revealed a more sinister truth.
John Mukhwana, a 47-year-old teacher, is believed to have taken his own life by throwing himself into river Kipkaren after drinking alcohol. His wife, Josephine Kanini, reported that he left home without disclosing his destination on the day of his death.
Mukhwana's mother, Maria Kuvuywa, suggested that her son may have been suffering from a mental illness, which could have contributed to his tragic decision.
