CBK Receives KSh 9.7 Billion in Treasury Bills Auction

On August 21, 2020, the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) announced the results of its weekly Treasury Bills auction, which saw an under subscription rate of 40.35%.

The auction received bids worth KSh 9.7 Billion out of the KSh 24 Billion worth of Treasury Bills offered, with the 91-day, six months, and one-year Treasury Bills receiving competitive bids worth KSh 5.9 Billion.

Non-competitive bids worth KSh 3.7 Billion were also received, with the average rates on accepted bids for the 91-day, 182-day, and 364-day Treasury Bills standing at 6.257%, 6.600%, and 7.508% respectively.

The next weekly Treasury Bills auction is scheduled to take place on August 27, 2020, with results to be announced on August 28, 2020.
