The COVID-19 pandemic has not dampened the spirit of women's football in Southern Africa, as the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) has confirmed the dates for the Women's Championship.
Set to take place between October 19-31 in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa, the championship has been given the green light by the COSAFA Executive Committee, subject to prevailing COVID-19 conditions in the region.
Additionally, the committee has announced plans to introduce a regional Women's Champions League, with the aim of launching the competition in 2021, pending the sourcing of funds to support it.
Other notable events include the COSAFA Women's Under-17 Championship, scheduled for October 15-25, and the Under-20 Women's Championship, which has been postponed to December 2021.
