Published on August 11, 2020, Vivo is gearing up to introduce the Vivo Y30, a budget smartphone, to the Kenyan market.

The device, which was launched in May, boasts a 6.47-inch HD+ display and an AI quad-camera setup at the back, a feature reminiscent of the V-series.

Powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, the Vivo Y30 is set to compete with other budget devices from Huawei, Honor, Oppo, Xiaomi, and Infinix.

Although it lacks Vivo's fast-charging technology, the device features a USB Type-C charging port, a rare find in budget devices from Tecno and Infinix.

While the pricing details remain under wraps, industry insiders expect the device to fall within the Kshs 21,000 to Kshs 25,000 range.

Interestingly, Vivo Kenya will be offering the 128GB variant of the device, a higher storage capacity than the 64GB variant available elsewhere.
