Los Angeles, August 8, 2020 - Singer-actress Selena Gomez has been keeping busy during the coronavirus lockdown, and now she's ready to share her culinary creations with the world.
Her new cooking show, 'Selena + Chef,' is set to debut on HBO MAX on August 13, featuring 10 episodes where Gomez learns to cook a variety of dishes with the help of famous chefs.
The show was filmed remotely inside Gomez's kitchen in her Los Angeles home, where she was in quarantine with her grandparents and three friends.
According to Gomez, she thought the show would be a lighthearted way to pass the time during the lockdown, saying, "This was an opportunity to make people smile. I hope they are going to laugh because I look like a fool."
Throughout the show, Gomez and her celebrity chefs face various cooking challenges, including making a French omelet and cooking octopus. While the octopus didn't quite turn out as planned, Gomez has since mastered the dish and even made it again for her friends.
When asked what she's best at whipping up fast, Gomez jokingly replied, "I can kill PB and J."
