Former Changamwe MP Ramadhan Kajembe's life came to an end on Friday, August 7, 2020, at the Pandya Memorial Hospital in Mombasa, where he was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
His untimely demise occurred just two weeks after his wife succumbed to COVID-19.
According to his son Mwidani, Kajembe will be laid to rest at the family cemetery at Kwa Shee in Mikindani, Jomvu, on Saturday, August 8, 2020.
With a political career spanning over two decades, Kajembe served as an MP for three terms, first elected in 1997 on a KANU ticket and subsequently in 2002 on a NARC ticket.
He was re-elected in 2007 on an ODM ticket to serve Changamwe constituency, a position he held until 2013, when he was replaced by Omar Mwinyi, who was re-elected in 2017.
